Hadith - Showing Off
The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “Allah loves the believer who is pious and rich, but does not show off.” [Muslim]
So to gain Allah’s love we must stop showing off.
Why does a person show off? A person shows off to seek honor from people (as opposed to seeking honor with Allah).
