TRUE LOVE...
Loving for the sake of this life, desires and short-lived pleasures is false love. Its selfish love, and it dies along with its possessor, if not before their death. True love is loving for Allah’s sake. This love is true in this world and its authenticity and sincerity live on way past it- it’s everlasting. It mirrors its brothers and sisters. This love cares, helps, respects, advises, shows mercy and advises more, all for Allah’s sake; not for money, fame, wealth, pleasures, showing off…nothing. That’s why it’s real; it doesn’t cheat or deceive. It’s based on Fearing, Loving, Thanking, and Obeying Allah Almighty. It’s genuine love.
Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Allah will ask on the Day of Judgment: ‘Where are those who loved each other for the sake of My glory? Today, on a day when there is no shade but mine I shall shade them with My shade.” [Sahih Muslim (2566)]
HOW TO LOVE ONE FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAH?
• To love someone for the sake of Allah, means to love them without any worldly gain
• That you are truly happy for them when you see goodness and the blessings of Allah descend upon them.
• That you aid them when they are in need without seeking compensation
• That you are saddened when the are saddened
• That you supplicate on their behalf without letting them know
• That when you speak of them without their presence it's only of good
• That when you see them commit an error then you find an excuse for it, and you cover their sins
• That when you see them your faith increases
• That when you meet you remind them of Allah and mention the name of our beloved Rasul (peace be upon him).
