WHEN IT IS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE: What Happens When A Person Is DYING?

WHEN IT IS TIME TO SAY GOODBYE: What Happens When A Person Is DYING?
There is a stage just before death when the angels come to accompany the departing soul. A person can see them and when a mu’min (true believer) is dying, Rasool Allah (Salla Allahu ‘aleihi wa sallam) said that his soul will come out so easily that it is like a drop of water falling from a jug, i.e., smoothly. Furthermore, the angels will give him the glad tidings of the forgiveness of Allah (SwT), and of JANNAH.
The evildoer, the disbeliever and the ungrateful muslim will be given the news that Allah (SwT) is ANGRY with him and will PUNISH him. Then, this person’s soul will run around in his body, as it will not want to leave, and then the angel of death will GRAB the soul and PULL IT OUT, like a branch with many thorns pulled out of a ball of wet wool; meaning that the wool will be torn apart and similarly, this person’s body will be torn apart when the soul is extracted by malikal maut (the angel of death). [Ahmad (17803) and Abu Dawood (4753)]
Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala) says: ….until when death comes to one of them and he says, my Lord, please send me back so that I may do good deeds. No, it is but a word that he speaks and behind them is a barzakh (a barrier) until the day when they will be resurrected. (i.e. we only have one life. There is no second chance, no re-sit exams. There will be no point in regretting right at the time of death; and since we may die at any moment, the time to change and be a true muslim is NOW). [Surah Al Mu’minoon, Eng. Transl., verse 99-100]
Allah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'ala) also says in His Book: Allah accepts the repentance of those who do evil in ignorance and repent soon afterwards. It is they whom Allah will forgive and Allah is The Most Knowledgeable, The Most Wise. [Eng. Transl. of Surah An-Nisa’, verse 17]
And of no effect is the repentance of those who continues to do evil deeds until death faces one of them and he says, now I will repent; nor those who die while they are disbelievers. For them We (Allah) have prepared a painful torment. [Eng. Transl. of Surah An-Nisa’, verse 18]
I ask Allah's (Perfect and High Exalted is He) help so that we can all live the life of a true Muslim, causing the Angel of Death to take our souls smoothly. Ameen
