![The Gregorian New Year:-
OH MUSLIM UMMAH BEAWARE OF NEW YEAR CELEBRATION’S ITZ PROHIBITED IN ISLAM ACCORDING THE TEACHING’S OF RASOOLLULAH S.A.W

It is not permissible for the Muslims to exchange greetings on the occasion of the Gregorian New Year, and it is not permissible for them to celebrate it, because both of these matters involve imitation of the kuffaar, and we have been forbidden to do that.
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”
Narrated by Abu Dawood, 4031; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood
Moreover, offering greetings on this day that comes back each year comes under the heading of celebrating it and taking it as a festival, which is also forbidden.
Whoever seeks a religion other than Islaam, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”
[Aal ‘Imraan 3:85]
Imaam Bayhaqi narrated with a saheeh isnaad from ‘Umar ibn al-Khattaab RA that he said:
“Do not enter upon the mushrikeen in their churches on the day of their festival, for divine wrath is descending upon them.”
And ‘Umar RA also said: “Avoid the enemies of Allaah on their festivals.”
Imaam Al-Bayhaqi also narrated with a jayyid isnaad from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Amr that he said:
“Whoever settles in the land of the non-Arabs and celebrates their new year and festival and imitates them until he dies in that state, will be gathered with them on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Ahkaam Ahl al-Dhimmah, 1/723-724).
The following hadiths are examples of how Muslims should not imitate the actions of non-Muslims.

• On the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Aas who said: “The Messenger of Allah saw me wearing two saffron garments and he said: ‘Indeed these are from the dress of the Kuffaar so do not wear them.
[Collected by Muslim (1/144), An-Nisaaee (2/298), Al-Haakim (4/190), and Ahmad in his Musnad (2/172, 164, 193, 207, and 211)]
• At-Tirmidhi narrated that Ibn Abbas (Raziallahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “He is not one of us who imitates other than us. Do not imitate the Jews or the Christians.”
• At-Tabarani and Abu Dawud narrated that Ibn Umar and Hudhayfah (Raziallahu Anhu) reported that the Prophet (pbuh) said: “Whoever imitates a people, he is one of them.”
• Al-Bayhaqireported in his Sunan that Anas Bin Maalik (Raziallahu Anhu) said: “When the Prophet (pbuh) came to Medina, the people had two holidays from the days of Jahiliyyah.”
He (pbuh) said: “When I came to you, you had two days which you used to celebrate in Jahiliyyah. Allah subhanahu ta’ala has replaced them for you with better days, the days of slaughter (Adhaa) and the day of fitr.”
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said,"Surely, you will follow the ways of those nations who were before you, in everything as one arrow resembles another, (i.e. just like them), so much so that even if they entered a hole of a sand-lizard, you would enter it."
They said, "O Allaah's Messenger! Do you mean to say that we will follow the Jews and the Christians?"He replied, "Whom else?" (By meaning the Jew and Christians)

"The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (a certain kind of tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews."

“You will fight the Jews and will prevail over them, so that a rock will say, ‘O Muslim! There is Jew behind me, kill him!’”
(Reported by Muslim, 2921; al-Bukhaari, 2926).
According to a report narrated by Muslim from Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The Hour [the Day of Judgement] will not begin until the Muslims fight the Jews and kill them. A Jew will hide behind a rock or a tree, and the rock or tree will say, ‘O Muslim, O slave of Allaah! There is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!’ – except for the gharqad (box thorn), for it is one of the trees of the Jews.”
