Allah has promised that Quran has been made easy to understand. The following verse is repeated 4 times in Surah al-Qamar (54:17, 54:22, 54:32, 54:40)

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ

And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

Tafseer

meaning, `is there anyone who will remember through this Qur'an, which We made easy to memorize and easy to understand?'

Qu'raan , surah baqarah[2:159] Those who conceal anything of the clear teachings and true guidance which We have sent down even though We have made them clear in Our Book, Allah curses such people and so do all the cursers, [2:160] except those who repent and make amends and openly declare (what they had concealed). Such shall I pardon for I am Much- Relenting, Most Compassionate. [2:161]

Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) recited the Verse:--

"It is He who has sent down to you the Book. In it are Verses that are entirely clear, they are the foundation of the Book, others not entirely clear. So as for those in whose hearts there is a deviation (from the Truth ). follow thereof that is not entirely clear seeking affliction and searching for its hidden meanings; but no one knows its hidden meanings but Allah. And those who are firmly grounded in knowledge say: "We believe in it (i.e. in the Qur'an) the whole of it (i.e. its clear and unclear Verses) are from our Lord. And none receive admonition except men of understanding." (3.7)

Then Allah's Apostle said, "If you see those who follow thereof that is not entirely clear, then they are those whom Allah has named [as having deviation (from the Truth)] 'So beware of them."

The genuine believers will choose to believe Allaahs words,They will always accept the straightforward meaning of the Quranic verse. The genuine believer will always show absolute trust and respect for Allaahs words, In return, Allaah has rendered the Quran easy for them to understand. As for those who choose to believe other than The truth, Allaah has placed shields over their eyes and hearts which stops them from understanding the Quran. They are not permitted access to the Quranic truth even though they may have spent all their lives with their heads immersed in what they call "the science of Quranic interpretation"!
