I live in Italy but I'm Macedonian.

"I live in Italy but I'm Macedonian. My father is an imam and since I was young, my parents have taught me the Islamic rules and behavior. They invited me to wear hijab but I didn't accept. What a silly girl I was! I was scared of what the people would have thought about me because I live in a society which is pretty racist against the Muslim women. But without hijab, I constantly felt naked and my life was a big chaos. I was depressed for a long time. I felt incomplete.
Ten months ago, a woman appeared in my dream and said to me: if you don't wear hijab that means that you don't love Allah! The next day I woke up and I started to cry. I felt ashamed of myself and then I realized that on the Day of the Judgment Allah won't ask me: what did the society think about you? But: How strong is your eeman (faith)? So, I decided to wear hijab. I've worn hijab since 27th of June, 2014 and my life has totally changed! I regret the years when I didn't wear it ! I'm much more self-confident, free, and proud of my religion. Hijab is my favorite cloth! It's my crown, my protection, my diamond, and I to pray Allah that I wear it until my last breath." -Resmija Nurcheska
