
Seeking safety from snakes, scorpions etc.
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said, “Whoever says three times, when he reaches the evening:
Audhu bi-kalimatillahi-tam’mati min sharri ma khalaq
Audhu bi-kalimatillahi-tam’mati min sharri ma khalaq
(I seek refuge in Allah’s Perfect Words from the evil of what He created),
No poisonous sting shall harm him that night.”

Merits and/or Significance of this dua: One of the narrators of the above mentioned hadith, Suhail, said, “So our family used to learn it and they used to say it every night. A girl among them was stung, and she did not feel any pain.”
