PURITY AND CLEANNESS IN ISLAM

PURITY AND CLEANNESS IN ISLAM
-------------------------------------------------
ALLAH LOVES THOSE THAT TURN TO HIM IN REPENTANCE AND PURIFY THEMSELVES (2:222).
============================
Purity (Arabic: طهارة‎‎, Tahara(h)) is an essential aspect of Islam. It is the opposite of najis, things which are considered ritually impure are in the state of najāsa. The importance of cleanliness can be estimated from the fact that the books of Hadith as well as the Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) start with a chapter on cleanliness. There are two terms used in Islamic literature: taharah and nazafah. Taharah (Cleanliness from physical impurities) is required by Islam to be observed by each and every Muslim in his and her daily life while nazafah (neatness) is a desirable attribute. The Holy Quran says: You are the best community that hath been raised up for mankind, enjoining what is right, forbidding what is wrong, and believing In Allah. (Surah Aal-Imran, 3/110

Quranic verses that encourage cleanliness
Allah The Almighty Enjoined purifying one’s clothes, body and other (i.e. belongings) from impurities such as urine and stool.
Allaah The Almighty Says (what means):
• {And your clothing purify}[Quran 74: 4]

• {Do not stand [for prayer] within it – ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allaah loves those who purify themselves.}[Quran 9: 108]
• {And they ask you about menstruation. Say, "It is harm, so keep away from wives during menstruation. And do not approach them until they are pure. And when they have purified themselves, then come to them from where Allah has ordained for you. Indeed, Allaah loves those who are constantly repentant and loves those who purify themselves."}[Quran 2: 222]
• Also, He The Almighty Commanded purification from ritual impurity Saying: {O you who have believed, when you rise to [perform] prayer, wash your faces and your forearms to the elbows and wipe over your heads and wash your feet to the ankles. And if you are in a state of Janaabah (major impurity), then purify yourselves.}[Quran 5: 6]
Allah the Almighty has praised a Muslim who strive hard to make his heart clean, by staying away from envy and the act of cheating his fellow human beings. This, undoubtedly shows the importance of the purity of the heart in the life of a Muslim.
May Allah save us from anything which may distracts us from HIS way .And May Allah protect us and Forgive us..
