Ayām al-Beed - White Days
The Messenger of Allāh صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ said:
“...There is nothing equivalent to fasting...”
صحيح النسائي ٢٢٢٢ | الشيخ الألباني رحمه الله | صحيح
Al-Ayaam al-Beed is [fasting] the 13th, 14th, and 15th of each lunar month, because Allāh says: They ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about the phases of the moon. Say, “They are a means for people to determine time and pilgrimage...”
Surah al-Baqarah Āyah 189
Therefore the timing of certain acts of worship and the ‘iddah (waiting period for women who have been divorced or widowed, etc.) are worked out according to the lunar months of the Hijri or Islamic calendar, not the solar months of the Gregorian or Western calendar.

Sunday 29th April 2018
Monday 30th April 2018
Tuesday 1st May 2018
