Angels and devils

An Italian king called one of the finest artists and asked that he draw two different and contrasting pictures and they would be hung in the biggest square in the city.

He ordered him to draw a picture of an angel and other one of a devil, to show the people in his country the difference between virtue and vice.

The artist searched the whole city for a person to inspire him to draw the picture, finally he found a beautiful and innocent child the serenity radiated from his beautiful face,his eyes were drawn into a deep ocean of happiness.

Months later he finished the picture and the people were overwhelmed by it, as it was one of the finest art drawing they had ever seen of an artist in that time.

Later on the artist started searching for another person to inspire him to draw the picture of the devil, he searched and he searched for over 20 years but all his search was in vain.

The king was afraid the artist would die before he completed the historical masterpiece, so he announced a major prize to be awarded to the most frightening face that would inspire the artist to complete his painting to draw the picture of the devil.

On the other hand the artist visited prisons, mental institutions, bars and places where criminals frequent, but he ended in the conclusion they were all human beings and not devils.

One day all of a sudden he found the devil.

He was represented in an awful bad man, greedily swallowing a bottle of wine in the corner of the bar.

He was extremely hideous to look at and had bad odour, he was without soul caring for nothing or no-one, speaking loudly with a toothless mouth.

The artist sat across from him starting to draw his features, as it represented to him the image of the devil

One day while he was continuing his image of the devil represented in the man, the artist looked at the man sitting across from him and all of a sudden he noticed a tear slipping down his cheek.

This scene puzzled him so he asked him, would you like to smoke or drink more wine, he replied with a voice choked with tears ,

”sir you have visited me over twenty years ago when i was a young child and my face inspired you of your picture of the angel,

but now sir with this same face of mine, it has inspired you of the picture of the devil.”

The period of the last twenty years has changed me
from an angel to a devil

Allah has created all of us in this world as pure and angelic but we ourselves, choose to distort our images from angels to devils.

Each baby is born in a state of "Fitrah"
===============================
Prophet Muhammad Peace be upon him said,

"No babe is born except upon Fitrah as pure ( a Muslim).

It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist."
