How to Wake up Kids for Fajr Salah
1-From very early age try to wake your kids up at fajar time, it may seems very difficult but you will develop a FAJAR CULTURE in your house inshaAllah. The early you start the easier it will be for your kids to wake up.
2-Let your kids go to bed early .
3-Make a bed time ritual to read Aytal kursee, and duaa, let them say aloud
"i will wake up for fajar inshaAllah"
3 or more times, so that from very early age they build the concept of fajar salah.
4-Don't forget to ask them to have wudhu before going to bed and make intention for fajar salah.
5-Give them alarm clock once they understand its alarming sound, make it a play who will wake up early in the morning ME < YOU< FATHER OR SISTER? etc
5-Be a role model, don't go to bed late, avoid late night parties, outings and functions as much as you can.Offer fajar salah on time.
6-Story telling always helps in concept building...tell them stories about kids who are strong Muslim, and their habits to wake up early in fajar.
7-Stick a chart on wall.give stars for fajar salah.
8-Invest in a reward system for fajar salah. It is not necessarily a big buy , ideas for fajar rewards are
a- cook star holder kid's favorite dish, ask him to be chief guest
b-Make a name poster.Paste the name of kid who offer salah punctually. keep the name for one month
c-let them Play their favorite game.invite his friend for play date.give permission to go to friend's house/ nana's house/ aunt's house as a reward
d-Take kids to zoo/park/play area as reward
f-Ice cream
9_Appreciation do miracles some time (BUT DON'T COMPARE KIDS >>>IT"S NOT HEALTHY)
10-let them memorize hadith about Fajar salah.
