In a world where friendship evolves around materialism and worldly gain, if you find a friend like this, know that you have struck gold.
You know that moment when you meet someone, and you laugh at the same things, even if it seemingly be silly, and you share the same views, and you like similar things, and you think the same thoughts? And you just know, you know that Allāh placed them in your life for a reason?
That's the moment when you realise how quickly strangers can become friends. And what better friendship is there than that which is based on love for Allāh? What better friend is there than she who reminds you to go and pray? Who is better than she who reminds you to recite Quran because it will come as an intercessor for you on the day of judgement? Who is better than the friend who brings you closer to Allāh and fills emptiness with wholeness?
Real friendship based on attaining Allāh's pleasure is hard to find, so when you find it, embrace it.
So that it may be your means of shade under Allāh's throne on the day when there will be no shade. And so that you and your friend may be raised under that shade.
Alhamdulillah for the priceless friends whom Allāh has blessed us with. May Allāh unite us under His shade.
