Any man who beats up a woman is not a man!
Aisha narrates, "I swear by Allah, the hand of the Messenger of Allah (SAW) never struck a woman or a servant..."
And a group of Sahabiyat came one morning to the Prophet's (SAW) house to complain that their husbands mistreated them. Our Prophet (SAW) called a general assembly and addressed the men: "A group of ladies came to me complaining about their husbands. These men are not the best of you...The best of you are those who are best in treatment to their wives."
