What is your definition of being modern ?!

The most Advanced and Blessed person in the sight of the Creator (God Almighty) are those who submit themselves to the will of their Creator (God Almighty). They strive to attain higher level of consciousness , piety, righteousness and please God Almighty in all that they do.

All the great and respected women now and in the history chose to cover themselves. Either it is Mary (p.b.u.h.) or the Mothers of the faithful believers (may Allah swt be pleased with all of them), or the companions of the Prophet Muhammed (p.b.u.h.), even the members of the Royal families tend to do the same, they cover up. The costly and valuable commodities in essence are hidden and kept covered up. Only the things that are open to public access, particularly the cheap commodities are kept open as their is no fear of getting lost... Become costly, become like Mary (p.b.u.h.) , like a Queen, and valuable cover up yourselves.

Decreasing the clothes, or trying to free the clothes from the human body simply means we are not moving upwards but down to the dust, quite close to the animals and beast. Nakedness is animal-like activity rather than human-like!!

The growing materialistic concept of the society where we live, increased vulgarities, negativities, selfishness, ignoring the mankind for all those goodnesses that were supposed to be exhibited by us for being humankind was already enough to make us extinct than to invent some more new means of such nakednesses.
