Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-A’raf 7, Verse 53, Part 8

هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا تَأْوِيلَهُ ۚ يَوْمَ يَأْتِي تَأْوِيلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذِينَ نَسُوهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّ فَهَلْ لَنَا مِنْ شُفَعَاءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا لَنَا أَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذِي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ ۚ قَدْ خَسِرُوا أَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ

Await they just for the final fulfillment of the event? On the Day the event is finally fulfilled (i.e. the Day of Resurrection), those who neglected it before will say: “Verily, the Messengers of our Lord did come with the truth, now are there any intercessors for us that they might intercede on our behalf? Or could we be sent back (to the first life of the world) so that we might do (good) deeds other than those (evil) deeds which we used to do?” Verily, they have lost their ownselves (i.e. destroyed themselves) and that which they used to fabricate (invoking and worshipping others besides Allah) has gone away from them.

یہ لوگ بس اب اس کے انجام کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں (جس کا پتہ یہ کتاب دے رہی ہے) جس دن اس کا انجام سامنے آجائے گا تو جن لوگوں نے پہلے کتاب کو بھلا رکھا تھا کہیں گے: واقعی ہمارے پاس رسول حق بات لے کر آئے تھے۔ پھر اب کیا ہمارے لئے کوئی سفارشی ہیں جو ہماری سفارش کریں یا ہمیں واپس (دنیا میں) ہی بھیج دیا جائے تاکہ جو کام ہم کرتے رہے اس کے علاوہ دوسری قسم کے کام کریں، ان لوگوں نے اپنے آپ کو خسارے میں ڈال دیا، اور جو کچھ بھی وہ باتیں بنایا کرتے تھے انہیں کچھ یاد نہ رہیں گی۔
