☛ Based on Holy Quran

Islam which was conveyed by The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is a perfect religion, We can say this because every aspect in life is ruled by Islam. Islam teaches us what we should do when we are entering the restroom until the way to choose a leader, Islam rules from the smallest things until the biggest ones. Thus as a perfect religion Islam has some characteristics which establishes the outstanding of Islam and make people need Islam as their religion and their way of life. Here are some characteristics of Islam:

► 1. ISLAM COMES DIRECTLY FROM THE SIDE OF ALLAH THE MOST HIGH.

It was not created by human. Muhammad May Peace be upon him is the messenger. It is from Allah The Most High, because Allah as the creator know best and knew the need of His slaves. Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “Does He who created not know, while He is the subtle, the acquinted?". [Surah Al-Mulk, 67:14]

► 2. ISLAM BRINGS TO JUSTICE.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: "And thus We have made you a median [i.e. just] community that you will be witness over the people and the messenger will be witness over you". [Surah Al-Baqarah,2 :143]

Thus Islam's Shariah forms in justice for every life being. as a median means in the middle, between belittle and excessive, belittle is a negligent in action while excessive is over the limit in action [Imaam Ibnul Qoyyim].

► 3. PURPOSE OF LIFE

Islam explains the beginning creation of human and the end of their life and the purpose why they were created. Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “From the earth WE created you, and into it We will return you, and from it We will extract you another time.". [Surah Al Taha, 20:55]

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me". [Surah Al-Dhariyat, 51:56]

► 4. ISLAM WILL NEVER OPPOSITE NATURE OF MANKIND

Islam will never opposite with human the inherent nature of mankind and mind, Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: "So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. Adhere to the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know”. [Surah Al Rum, 30:30].

Islam pays attention to the use of mind and asks to think, but there are limitations i.e.do not think about the substance of Allah or His shape.

► 5. ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF KNOWLEDGE.

Knowledge is compulsory for every Muslim men and women. Knowledge will raise one's degree who has it to the highest degree. Knowledge and practice like two sides of a coin, there is no practice without knowledge and there is no knowledge without practice. Allah criticizes one's who practices without knowledge as one's who goes ashtray, and one's who has knowledge but does not practice it as a furies person.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: O you who have believed, when you are told, "Space yourselves" in assemblies, then make space; Allah will make space for you. And when you are told, "Arise," then arise; ALLAH WILL RAISE THOSE WHO HAVE BELIEVED AMONG YOU AND THOSE WHO WERE GIVEN KNOWLEDGE, by degrees. And Allah is acquainted with what you do. [Surah Al Mujadillah, 58:11].

Islam criticizes ignorance and blind follow, Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing in prayer, fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, like one who does not? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember who people of understanding are. [Surah Al Zumar 39:9].

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “And do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge. Indeed, the hearing, the sight and the heart - about all those one will be questioned”. [Surah Al Isra, 17:36].

► 6. ISLAM, A COMPLETE SOLUTION

In Islam there are solutions for every problems, like life problems, family problems etcetera, Shariah and its basic lessons cover all the islamic law for every unlimited things.

► 7. ISLAMIC LAW

Shariah is the most wisdom in conducting all nations, the most appropriate in giving solution, pays attention to the benefits and to the human rights.

► 8. ISLAM IS FLEXIBLE.

It is applicable for every nation, in every place, periods, and situation and in every kind of condition. The most modern and the most development nation always find new proofs that point to the validity of Islam and its high value.

► 9. ISLAM IS A RELIGION OF LOVE, UNITY, FRIENDSHIP AND LOVE AMONGST MUKMIN.

The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “The believers are brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. and fear Allah that you may receive mercy". [Surah Al-Hujurat,49:10].

► 10. ISLAM IS FAR FROM CONTRADICTION.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “Then do they not reflect upon the Quran? If it had been from any other than Allah , they would have found within it much contradiction”. [Surah An Nisa 4:82].

► 11. ISLAM IS EASY AND CLEAR AND CAN BE UNDERSTOOD BY EVERYONE.

For example; Salah/Prayer is compulsory for every Muslims, but if you cannot do Prayer by standing you can sit, if you cannot sit, you can lie down, if you cannot lie down you can do Prayer by giving sign. but do not skip Prayer at all.

► 12. ISLAM ASKS THE FOLLOWERS TO HAVE HIGH MORAL AND PIOUS DEED.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “Take what is given freely, enjoin what is good, and turn away from the ignorant”. [Surah Al Araf, 7:199].

“And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel evil by that deed which is better; and thereupon the one whom between you and him is enmity will become as though he was a devoted friend”. [Surah Al Fussilat, 41:34].

► 13. ISLAM TAKES CARE OF HEALTHY.

Many argumentations from Quran and Sunnah about how to keep healthy. From Sunnah The Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) mentioned about eating habit. Let us take a look this hadeeth. On the authority of al-Miqdaam ibn Maadly Karib who said: I heard The Messenger of Allah saying: " No human ever filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Aadam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, tehn one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath." [Hadith Saheeh by Ahmad, Al-Tirmidhi, An-nasaie, Ibn Majh]

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess. [Surah Al Araf, 7:31].

Amongst the requirement of keeping healthy, Islam prohibits the harm food to be consumed.

“HE has only forbidden to you dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine, and that which has been dedicated to other than Allah…” [Surah Al Baqarah, 2:173].

Allah says about alcoholic drinks/ intoxicants in Holy Quran: “O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, sacrificing on stone alters to other than Allah, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful”. [Surah Al Mai’dah, 5:90].

Intoxicant is prohibited, because it can harm one's mind, weaken the heart, harm the lever and cause other diseases.

► 14. ISLAM IS IN LINE WITH MODERN SCIENTIFIC INVENTION.

Many ayahs and hadiths mention about. Almost 1,000 ayahs have been found in the Quran that speak about scientific facts and processes that were known to Allah for all time but that have only recently been discovered and proven as scientific facts by mankind. For example, Quran speaks about the stages of development of the creation of the human being.

Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: “And certainly did WE create man from an extract of clay. Then WE placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. Then WE made the sperm-drop into a clinging clot, and WE made the clot into a lump of flesh, and We made from the lump, bones, and We covered the bones with flesh; then We developed him into another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators. [Surah Al-Mu'minun, 23:12-14].
