The Day of Arafah --

The Day of Arafah --
Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “Hajj IS Arafah.” [Sunan Abu Dawud] How true – if you go to Arafah, but miss everything else, your Hajj is sound and if you do everything else, but miss Arafah, your Hajj is not valid.
Arafah, the day when millions of people gather at one place at one time to praise and supplicate to Allah.
Making the best use of the Day of Arafah, while in Arafah?
Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “The best du’a you can make is the du’a on the day of Arafah.”
This is your chance to change the world insha’Allah, because the du’a you make at Arafah will be accepted and you are given a whole day to do it. When you make du’a for someone who’s not around, the angels make the same du’a for you! Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: “He who makes du’a for his brother behind his back (in his absence), the Angel commissioned (for carrying supplication to Allah) says: Ameen and it is for you also (something similar).” [Sahih Muslim]
Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah, and he said, "It expiates the sins of the preceding year and the coming year." (Muslim)
Moreover, the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: "There is no day in which Allah frees greater number of His people from the Hellfire than the Day of `Arafah." (Muslim)
Prophet Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه و سلم) said: "The best supplication (du`a) is that of the day of `Arafah, and the best thing, that I and other prophets before me said, is: ""La ilaha illa allahu wahdahu la sharika lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-hamdu wa huwa `ala kulli shai'in qadeer "" (there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partners. To Him belong the sovereignty and all praise. He has power over all things).” (Tirmidhi)
Some reminders on your du’a list that can be, in sha Allah --
*For increase in your imaan
*For your rank in Jannah (and Al-Firdaus)
*To increase your knowledge of Islam
*Memorization of the Qur’an
*Health
*Wealth (so that you could spend in the way of Allah)
*Children and relatives – their imaan and akhira, health, etc.
*The ummah at large and so on.
May Allah keep all Muslim Ummah from around the world guided and guide the misguided ones' to the right path....Ameen.
