"Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: and Allah is well acquainted with all that they do." [Qur'an 24:30]
"And Say to the believing women to cast down their glances and guard their private part....."(24:31)
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Modesty is part of faith and faith is in Paradise. Shamelessness is part of impudence and impudence is in the Hellfire.” Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2009 Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to At-Tirmidhi
Narrated Abu Mas'ud: The Prophet said, 'One of the sayings of the early Prophets which the people have got is: If you don't feel ashamed do whatever you like." (See Hadith No 690, 691, Vol 4)
