Assalamu Alaikum! My name is Melissa. I took my shahadah one year ago and have been indeed blessed.Many times were tough for me since i reverted. I came from anon-Muslim family and I was living in America. It's not easy to be a female revert.
Islam led me to meet my husband! Now I'm living in Tunisia, an amazing country.Masha'allah!
Regretfully, I did not wear my hijab very often in America because of the hurt it caused my family. But now I wear it all the time. I'm lucky that I had my husband's sister to teach me how to use my hijab. And I love to wear it! When I do, I feel more confident and comfortable. It makes me feel beautiful and proud to be a muslimah. And most importantly, it makes me feel closer to Allah subhanu wa ta'ala! Insha Allah.
