Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-Anfal 8, Verse 38, Part 8
قُلْ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِنْ يَنْتَهُوا يُغْفَرْ لَهُمْ مَا قَدْ سَلَفَ وَإِنْ يَعُودُوا فَقَدْ مَضَتْ سُنَّتُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Say to those who have disbelieved, if they cease (from disbelief) their past will be forgiven. But if they return (thereto), then the examples of those (punished) before them have already preceded (as a warning).
(اے نبی ) ان کافروں سے کہئے کہ اگر وہ اب بھی باز آجائیں تو ان کے سابقہ گناہ بخش دیئے جائیں گے اور اگر پہلے سے کام ہی کرتے رہے تو بلا شبہ اگلے لوگوں کا (جو) طریقہ کار گزر چکا ہے (وہی ان کا انجام ہو گا)۔
