"When I was in high school, I wanted to be free. I wanted to experience being a teenager. When I entered college, my attitude became worse. I even cut classes and hung out with my friends, My parents didn't know what I was doing. Until one day, I realized that I wasn't happy anymore. I was searching for something unknown. And, one day someone told me a story about Muslim women and how precious they are. Suddenly, my heart yearned to be one of them.
So, this year I started wearing the hijab properly. I can't believe how comfortable and complete I feel in my hijab. I even learned to read Arabic so I can read the Quran. May Allah guide me always, ameen."-Jane from the Philippines
