So to prevent these innovations we tell them to move on.

This is a picture of King Salman (of Saudi) and Sheikh Abdurahman Sudais (imam of the ka'bah), sending salutations to the Prophet (peace be upon him) at his noble grave.
Some of the people of Kufr and Shirk have attacked us saying: "Why are they allowed to stand there and that when we (sufis/shia) do this we are told to move(!)" They use this petty argument and turn the discussion into worthless one.
Let it be known: sending salutations at the grave of the Prophet (peace beupon him) is a highly recommended sunnah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Send blessings upon me for your greeting will reach me no matter where you are." -Narrated by Abu Dawud, 2042.
When at the noble grave one should send his salutations to the Messenger as he sees fit, and it must contain permissible words, Sheikh Bin Baz (rahimullah) gave an example:
"Peace be upon you, Oh Messenger of Allah, peace be upon you Oh close friend of Allah, the one with whom He entrusted His revelation and the one whom He chose from among His creation. I bear witness that you conveyed the message, fulfilled the trust, sincerely advised the ummah and strove with all your might for the sake of Allah."
So why do the religious police stop the Sufis and Shia at the grave? This is partly true and false. Anyone can go and give salutations, after which one must move on. The Sufis and Shia tend to stay there for long periods of time causing traffic and congestion. There are other muslims who wish to send their salutations too, and if it were to allow these people to stay there we would see a lot of fuss in the masjid.
Not only that, many of these Sufis and Shia call upon the prophet asking him for their needs, such as; intercession, aid, help, guidance, health etc commiting Shirk. We have also seen them taking blessings from the golden gates of the chamber. So to prevent these innovations we tell them to move on.
If you watch the full video of the King and Imam, they give salutations and move on.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Do not take my grave as a place of festivity (which you visit repeatedly) and do not take your houses as graves. Send blessings upon me for your greeting will reach me no matter where you are." -Narrated by Abu Dawud, 2042 (Sahih).
Also Ali ibn al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) saw a man entering through a gap at the grave of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and making Dua. He told him not to do that and said: "Shall I not tell you a hadeeth that I heard from my father from my grandfather from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)? 'Do not take my grave as a place of festivity (which you visit repeatedly) and do not take your houses as graves. Send blessings upon me for your greeting will reach me no matter where you are.'" -Sahih Abi Dawud, 1796.
Many people think we do not send salutations to the noble grave, let it be known now, that we do. And let the liars be exposed, and all praise is for Allah.
