Divine Remembrance
Hazrat Ali (RA) has described the rewards of Divine Remembrance as follows:
"Verily God has given His Remembrance the honour and prestige of bring Divine Light to human minds. With its help those who are deaf to reasoning will be able to hear and understand His Orders; those who were blind to realities and truth will see and realize the good that religion teaches and those who were behaving like enemies of God will become obedient and submissive."
Let us recite prayers for the purification and upliftment of our souls. May these exercises lead to the dawning of light (Noor) in our souls. Ameen.
The following verse (ayat) of the Holy Qur'an1 lists some of the Divine names of Allah and presents the concept of beautiful names of Allah. Each Divine name has its own luminosity, power, blessing and spiritual help (ta'id) for believers.
Transliteration English Translation
Huwal laahul Khaaliqul Baari 'ul Musawwiru lahul 'Asmaa-'ul-Husnaa: yusabbihu lahuu maa fis-samaawaati wal-'arz: wa Huwal-'Aziizul-Hakim. (59:24)
He is Allah, the Creator, the Shaper out of naught, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifieth Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (59:24)
Hasbi rabbi jallallah
Ma fi qalbi ghayrullah
My Lord is enough for me, Glory be to Allah There is nothing in my heart except Allah
