[Al-Quran 10:98]

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Yunus 10, Verse 98, Part 11

فَلَوْلَا كَانَتْ قَرْيَةٌ آمَنَتْ فَنَفَعَهَا إِيمَانُهَا إِلَّا قَوْمَ يُونُسَ لَمَّا آمَنُوا كَشَفْنَا عَنْهُمْ عَذَابَ الْخِزْيِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَمَتَّعْنَاهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ

Was there any town (community) that believed (after seeing the punishment), and its Faith (at that moment) saved it (from the punishment)? (The answer is none,) - except the people of Yunus (Jonah); when they believed, We removed from them the torment of disgrace in the life of the (present) world, and permitted them to enjoy for a while.

پھر کیا یونس کی قوم کے سوا کوئی ایسی مثال ہے کہ کوئی قوم (عذاب دیکھ کر) ایمان لائے تو اس کا ایمان اسے فائدہ دے؟ جب وہ ایمان لے آئے تو ہم نے دنیا کی زندگی میں ان سے رسوائی کا عذاب دور کردیا اور ایک مدت تک انھیں سامان زیست سے فائدہ اٹھانے کا موقع دیا۔
