Salaffiyah is the true manhaj, the true path, in which the Jamaa’ah has united upon.

That jama'aah will be the SAVED SECT !

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“The Jews split into seventy-one sects; one will be in Paradise (i.e., those who followed Moses) and seventy will be in the Fire. The Christians split into seventy-two sects; seventy-one will be in the Fire and one will be in Paradise (i.e., those who followed Jesus). And by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, this Ummah (nation) of mine will split into seventy-three sects; one will be in Paradise and seventy-two will be in the Fire. It was asked, “Who are they, O Messenger of Allah?” He ﷺ said, “Al-Jama’ah (i.e., the group which adheres steadfastly to the way of the Prophet, his manhaj, and his Companions).”

So we know from this hadith the JAMAA’AH are those who follow his manhaj. He ﷺ did not say the Salafiyyah, the manhaj, is the jama'aah. How can Salafiyyah, the manhaj, be a jama'aah when its a manhaj?

No! Rather he ﷺ said the jama'aah are those who followed his and his companions way, path, methodology, manhaj. The Jama'ah are those people who follow that manhaj, that path, that way, that methodology.

Moving to the next hadith in relation to the above one...

The Prophet ﷺ described the Jamaa’ah as those who followed their manhaj in the following terms: “My ummah will split into seventy-three sects, all of whom will be in Hell except one group.” They said: Who are they, O Messenger of Allaah? He said: “(Those who follow) that which I and my companions follow.”

Now look at the statement of Ibn Mas’ood (radhi Allahu anhu ), the Jamaa’ah are the people who are upon the truth. What is the Truth? The Truth is the correct way of the Prophet ﷺ and his companions in how they understood and implemented the Qur'ān.

This is very clear and easy to understand.
