What is Tawakul?

What is Tawakul?
That you believe that Allāh is in control of everything. You cannot inflict harm upon me without Allah's permission (will). You can plot and try to harm me and if Allah wills, your plot will fall upon me, and if He doesn't will then whatever you do you can't do anything to me.
If you have that belief you will never fall into shirk.
Why do we fall into shirk?
Because sometimes you believe that the created being can harm you without Allah's permission. "O' brother please don't do this", "please sister don't do magic on me, please sister"
"...But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah ." (Qur'ān 2:102)
If you have that belief you will never fall into shirk. If you have tawakul you will never fall into shirk; verbally or action, you will never fall into shirk.
That you believe everything created out there Allah has full control of it, even so if it was created to harm.
What happened to Ibrahim (alayhi salaam) when he was thrown in the fire? Who made the fire turned cool? The One Who created the fire. Angel Jibreel (alayhi salaam) came to him and said: "O Ibrahim! Is there anything you wish for?" Ibrahim could have asked to be saved from the fire, to be taken away, but no, he said: "Hasbun Allah wa nimal wakeel" (Allah (alone) is Sufficient for us, and what an Excellent Guardian He is! He is the Best Disposar of affairs!).
That's tawakul.
