The word Shari'ah equals Islam:

The word Shari'ah equals Islam; beliefs, good character, rituals/worship, transactions, dealings, penal codes.

A person would be living a wicked life, a miserable life, he is despicable in the eyes of the society: he's backbitting, he's stealing, he's drinking, his life is messed up, he's about to get divorced, his kids are complaining and his family is about to take his kids away from him and immediately when he begins implementing one side of the Shari'ah - the beliefs, the character and the rituals - you find his life back in order, back in shape. This is why al-Shari'ah was defined to be a source of water, like water gives life to material things, Shari'ah gives life to the dead hearts, to the wicked souls.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ وَأَنَّهُ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ

O you who believe! Answer Allah (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he ﷺ calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily to Him you shall (all) be gathered. [Surat Al-Anfal 8:24]

You've seen it, an individual who is drinking, smoking, doing drugs, and he was messed up and when he turns into this Deen and begin applying it into his life everything changes.

And Allah mentioned this in a beautiful verse in Surat Al-An'am:

أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَاهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُ نُورًا يَمْشِي بِهِ فِي النَّاسِ كَمَن مَّثَلُهُ فِي الظُّلُمَاتِ لَيْسَ بِخَارِجٍ مِّنْهَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ زُيِّنَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Is he who was dead (without Faith by ignorance and disbelief) and We gave him life (by knowledge and Faith) and set for him a light (of Belief) whereby he can walk amongst men, like him who is in the darkness (of disbelief, polytheism and hypocrisy) from which he can never come out? Thus it is made fair-seeming to the disbelievers that which they used to do. [Surat Al-An'am 6:122]

The one who was dead we've given him life (he's alive again through the Shari'ah, through the Deen) and not only this, when he walks amongst people he's a light for people (look at him he does this, he does that, let's do like him) he did not only resurrect himself (rectify himself), rather himself he also resurrected the people he mingles with.

One of the qualities about the Shari'ah is that it is from Allah (subhaanahu wa ta'ala) and that should put your heart to rest. Why? There is a verse where Allah says:

أَلاَ‌ لَهُ ‌الْ‍‍خَ‍‍لْ‍‍قُ ‌وَ‌الأَمْرُ‌ ۗ تَبَا‌‍رَكَ ‌اللَّ‍‍هُ ‌‍رَبُّ ‌الْعَالَمِينَ

Surely, His is the Creation and Commandment. Blessed be Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!

[Surat Al-A'raf 7:54]

His is the creation and also the Shari'ah...

أَلَا يَعْلَمُ مَنْ خَلَقَ وَهُوَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ

Should not He Who has created know? And He is the Most Kind and Courteous (to His slaves) All-Aware (of everything). [Surat Al-Mulk 67:14]

Doesn't the One who created knows what fixes His creation?
