The majority of the people who own a lot of the global wealth are never content with however much they have amassed. That is why you will find them amongst the stingiest and greediest amongst mankind for hoarding mass amounts of wealth that would never be spent or be in circulation in the economies of the nations around the world.
Ibn ‘Abbas and Anas bin Malik (radi Allahu anhum) reported that the Messenger of Allah (SallAllahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, “If a son of Adam were to own a valley full of gold, he would desire to have two. Nothing can fill his mouth except the earth (of the grave). Allah turns with mercy to him who turns to Him in repentance”
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
Commentary:
This Hadith deals with man’s greed and his lust for material wealth. Only the person who has perfect Faith can save himself from it.
