Daily Hadith | Fasting on Arafah (9th Zilhajjah)
عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم صِيَامُ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ إِنِّي أَحْتَسِبُ عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُكَفِّرَ السَّنَةَ الَّتِي قَبْلَهُ وَالَّتِي بَعْدَهُ
Narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Fasting on the Day of ‘Arafah, I hope from Allah, expiates for the sins of the year before and the year after.”
حضرت ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا مجھے اللہ سے امید ہے کہ عرفہ کے دن کا روزہ ایک سال پہلے اور ایک سال بعد کے گناہوں کا کفارہ ہو جائے گا۔
