Ibn Al-Qayyim, said:

Ibn Al-Qayyim, said: “I heard Shaykh Al-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah say:

‘The meaning of the verse: {Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater.} [Qur’an 29:45]

is that in prayer there are two great benefits, and the first of them is that it prevents immorality and wrongdoing,and secondly,that it comprises of remembrance of Allah,and the fact that it comprises of remembrance of Allah is greater than the fact that it prevents immorality and wrongdoing.”
