Even what you are thinking about, is important.
Ibn al-Qayyim says:
“A sin begins with an idea, which becomes a whisper (from shaytaan), which becomes a will and then a determination. This becomes an action and then it’s difficult to leave it.”
(ad-Da’, p.82)
