It is the one thing that we can be certain about in life. We are born to die. Every soul shall have a taste of death no matter who they are. Preparing for death is a lifetime’s job. Imam ‘Ali bin Abu Talib (a.s.) has beautifully described the preparation for death as follows: “Fulfilling the obligations, refraining from forbidden things, and acquiring noble character.”
☞ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) Said: "Live in this world as though you are a stranger or a traveler passing through it." [Muslim]. We are on a journey and should know about the whole journey's itinerary, not just one part.
☞ Allah Almighty Says in Holy Quran: (interpretation of meaning): [… No person knows what he will earn tomorrow, and no person knows in what land he will die. … That means no soul can determine what it will get tomorrow from this world. [… and no person knows in what land he will die…] No soul knows where Allah will cause its death. [Surah Luqman 31:34].
☞ Al-Qurtubi, a scholar of Tafseer says: 'When Allah The Almighty chose to take exclusive possession of the unseen this means that the unseen is concealed from everybody except the chosen Messengers. Allah made as an exception. In fact, HE (Allah) let, these Messengers know some of the unseen through revelation and made that a miracle for them that proves undoubtedly that they are Messengers from Allah'. Allah knows best.
