Revive A Sunnah Series every Friday #3!
Sunnahs of Before Sleeping (must read)
1. Sleeping with Wudhu (ablution)
2. Dust The Bed Thrice Before Retiring To Bed
3. Reciting Surah al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq and an-Naas
4. Sleeping on the right side (Right Palm Under The Right Cheek)
5. To Refrain From Sleeping On Ones Stomach. (NOTE: Do not lie in this manner, for it is a way of lying that Allaah hates and Do not lie like this, for this is how the people of Hell lie [Ahmad])
6. Recite this dua: Allahumma bismika amutu wa ahya [O Allah, with Your Name will I die and live (wake up)].
(Of course there are more Sunnahs, but we would like you to mention them in the comment section :))
Following these Sunnah's mentioned above will earn you Hasanats (rewards). We should try to practise these Sunnahs as The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who loves My Sunnah, has loved me. And he who loves me shall be with me in Paradise." (At-Tirmidhi)
May Allah grant you and me the ability to follow the Sunnah and May Allah reward you and me for practising upon it. Join us to say Aameen!
