Many of the deviant sects especially their learders are upon this. They follow their desires by innovating into the religion and bringing in alien practices, thus ignoring the truth.
And many of them seek worldy desire, such as; fame, money, materialistic items (fancy cars, designer clothes, latest tech etc).
