Assalamualaikoum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.
What Is Kibr? Well,it is the characteristic of Satan, do not be part of it.
Kibr is the name of a psychic state in which a person feels a sense of superiority and behaves high-handedly with others. And when he considers others to be lacking in the imagined merit within himself, he perceives himself to be superior. This perception of superiority and supremacy over others causes in him a state of vanity, which is pride.
Kibr, in this sense, is an inner state, and when its effects are reflected in his behavior and his speech, it is called takabbur. In short, the self-indulgent person becomes self-seeking, and his self seeking tendency grows into self-love, and when this self-love is filled to the brim it manifests itself as haughtiness and high-handed treatment of others.

⇨There are various causes of kibr, but all of them derive from the delusion, which occurs when men imagine themselves to possess some kind of excellence. This illusion leads to ‘ujb, which, blending with self-love, conceals others’ merits and virtues from their eyes. Astaghfirullaah! Delusion is the trap of Satan to divert people from the right path. He only calls his followers to be the people of a blazing fire. (Sura Faatir 35, Ayat 6)
•►Do not let this arrogance destroy you. Are you proud of your beauty, wealth, status? The messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)said "Allah does not look at your appearances or your financial status, but He looks at your hearts and your actions." (Al-Bukhari).
⇨It is one of the fundamentals; the perfection of one’s faith in Islam, requires that one should give up vanity altogether.

•►Do not let your arrogance prevents you from entering Paradise.
Allah says in a Hadith Qudsi: "Pride is My garment and haughtiness My Mantle: whoever vies with Me for them I will throw into Hell.” [Muslim]

Abdullah ibn Mas’ud reported: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “No one who has the weight of a seed of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise.” A man said, “Indeed, a man loves to have beautiful clothes and shoes.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty. Arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people.” [Sahih Muslim 91]
Abu Hurairah (ra) reported: Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will not look at him who trails his lower garment out of pride."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
•►Remember throughout the glorious Qur'an, Allah says:
“Verily He loveth not the arrogant.” (An-Nahl: 23)' "Those who do not indulge in vanity!” (Al-Mu’minum 23: 3); "And walk not on the earth with conceit and arrogance." [al-Isra’ 17:37]
"And turn not your face away from men with pride." [Luqmaan 31:18] "And be moderate (or show no arrogance) in your walking, and lower your voice." [Luqmaan 31:19]

-►Humble yourselves as this is the characteristic of our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him), Let's follow his sunnah.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said “(God) has revealed to me that you should adopt humility so that no one oppresses another.” [Riyadh-us-Salaheen:1589]

O Allah, I beg You for guidance and uprightness. [Muslim]
I seek refuge in you from bad character, deeds and desires. (Tirmidhi)
O Allah, Grant us soundness of belief, goodness of character, forgiveness of our sins, and Your eternal pleasure in the Hereafter. Ameen
