Islam is moderate.

Islam is moderate. Because it allows us to shorten and join prayers when traveling. Because it teaches us not to do strenous acts of worship. Because it tells us to take the easier option whenever possible. Because it teaches us to pray while sitting if standing is too difficult, because it gives the concept of forgiveness and mercy and because it ignores the mistakes done in ignorance...

The list can go on and on.

So let's not try to modify this and make a new "moderate" version of Islam, by saying Islam is moderate even if we pray or don't pray, fast or not fast, do shirk or stick to tawheed, go blatantly against the Quran or not - it's all good.
No, it's not. Islam is already moderate, as it is, alhmdulilaah. And we have to try to follow it to the best of our ability.
