Five recommendations for Islamic marriage:
1. Nikah should be performed at masjid. There is no mention of baraat in hadith.
2. Mehar should be paid by groom to the girl. It should be according to the status of groom.
3. There should not be any dawat (party) by girl's family. No burden on girl's family.
4. Walima is sunnah. The groom must arrange a walima but no show-off.
5. If the girl's family wants to gift the girl, they can but there should not be any show-off.
