'IF ANYONE COMES TO MASJID ON JUMU’AH (FRIDAY PRAYER) THEN HE SHOULD PRAY TWO RAK’AHS (GREETING OF MOSQUE-TAHYATUL MASJID) BEFORE JUMU’AH (FRIDAY PRAYER) :-

Narrated Jabir bin ‘Abdullah: A person entered the mosque while the Prophet (P.B.U.H) was delivering the Khutba on a friday. The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said to him, “Have you prayed?” The man replied in the negative. The Prophet (P.B.U.H) said, “Get up and pray two Rakat.”

SAHIH BUKHARI (Volume #2,Book #13, Hadith #52)

Jabir b. ‘Abdullah reported that while Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon on friday a person came there, and the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said to him: So and so, have you prayed (two rak’ahs)? He said: No. He (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said: Then stand and pray.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #1897)

Jabir b. ‘Abdullah said that a person entered the Mosque while the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon on friday. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said: Have you observed prayer? He said: No. He (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said: Stand and offer the two rak’ahs. According to Qutaiba, the words are:” He said: Offer two rak’ahs.”

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #1899)

Jabir b. ‘Abdullah reported that a person came (in the Mosque) while the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon on friday (standing) on the pulpit. He (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said to him: Have you offered two rak’ahs? He said: No. Upon this he said: Then observe (them).

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #1900)

Jabir b. ‘Abdullah said that the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) delivered the sermon and said: When any one of you comes for the friday (prayer) and the Imam comes out (from his apartment), (even then) should observe two rak’ahs (of prayer).

Jabir reported that Sulaik Ghatafani came on friday (for prayer) while the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was sitting on the pulpit. Sulaik also sat down before observing prayer. The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: Have you observed two rak’ahs? He said: No. He (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said: Stand and observe them

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #1902)

Jabir b. ‘Abdullah reported: Sulaik Ghatafani came on friday when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) was delivering the sermon. He (Sulaik) sat down. He (the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H)) said to him: 0 Sulaik I stand and observe two rak’ahs and make them short, and then said: When any one of you comes on friday, while the Imam delivers the sermon, he should observe two rak’ahs and should make them short.

SAHIH MUSLIM (Book #004, Hadith #1903)

It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Dinar said:

“I heard Jabir bin ‘Abdullah say: ‘The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) said: “If any one of you comes and the imam has appeared, let him pray two rak’ahs. Shu’bah (one of the narrators) said: “On Friday.” (Sahih)

SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 2, Book 4, Hadith 1396)

Amr bin Dinar narrated that:

He heard Jabir bin ‘Abdullah say: “A man came when the Prophet (P.B.U.H) (P.B.U.H) was on the minbar on a Friday. He said to him: ‘Have you prayed two rak’ahs?’ He said: ‘No.’ He said: ‘Pray.'” (Sahih)

SUNAN NASEEI (Vol. 2, Book 4, Hadith 1401)'
