Narrated Abu Hurairah:

أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ إِذَا قُلْتَ لِصَاحِبِكَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ أَنْصِتْ. وَالإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ فَقَدْ لَغَوْتَ

Narrated Abu Hurairah: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: “When the Imam is delivering the Khutbah, and you ask your companion to keep quiet and listen, then no doubt you have done an evil act.”

حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جب تو نے اپنے ساتھی سے جمعہ کے دن کہا کہ خاموش رہ، اور امام خطبہ پڑھ رہا ہو تو تو نے لغو فعل کی۔
