Allah has established people on the earth and appointed means of living gold and silver, branded horses, cattle and well-tilled land and boats has made and things like them to whom they are riding and to carry heavy loads of their goods to other cities. He has subjugated the sea, so that you may take out provision, jewelry and pearl, of it. You make valuable things with animal fur. Whatever is on the earth a comfort of the worldly life and its furnished, so that He may test you, who among you is better in deeds, and He is going to turn it into a barren land.
Allah has allocated livelihood among you as raised the ranks of some over others so that they may take others as a serf and those to whom given preference in the provision, they should spend in the way of Allah and seek the betterment of the Ultimate Abode and be gracious as Allah has been gracious to them, but they are not willing to pass on their provision to their slaves, while they are being equal with them in respect thereof: Do they, then, reject the blessing of Allah??? Whatever thing has been given to you is an enjoyment of the worldly life and that which is with Allah is much better, and will remain forever. How many a town has been destroyed by Allah that were over-proud of their means of living. Now, those are their habitations, were never inhabited after them except a few, and Allah alone were the inheritors.
Allah says:
We established you on earth, and created in it means of living for you. Little you appreciate.
(7:10)
(7:10)
It has been made attractive for people to love the desired things; that is, women, children, hoarded heaps of gold and silver, branded horses, cattle and well-tilled land. That is an enjoyment of the worldly life; but Allah has the excellent return with Him.
(3:14)
(3:14)
He is the One who has subjugated the sea, so that you may eat fresh meat from it, and may take out from it ornaments you wear, and you see the boats cleaving through it, and so that you may seek His bounty, and that you may be grateful.
(16:14)
(16:14)
He has created cattle in which there is warmth and other benefits for you; and from them you have food; And in them there is a beauty for you when you bring them home in the evening and take them out to graze. And they carry your loads to a city where you were not able to reach without putting yourselves in a great trouble. Surely, your Lord is full of Kindness, Most Merciful. And horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates what you do not know.
(16:5,6,7,8)
(16:5,6,7,8)
And We created for them things similar to it on which they ride.
(36:42)
(36:42)
Surely, We have made what is on earth an adornment for it, so that We test them as to who among them is better in deeds. And surely, We are going to turn whatever is thereon into a barren land.
(18:7,8)
(18:7,8)
Is it they who allocate the mercy of your Lord??? We have allocated among them their livelihood in the worldly life, and have raised some of them over others in ranks, so that some of them may take others as a serf. But the mercy of your Lord is much better than what they accumulate.
(43:32)
(43:32)
And seek the the Ultimate Abode with what Allah has given to you, and do not neglect your share of this world, and do good as Allah did good to you, and do not seek to make corruption in the land. Surely, Allah does not like the corrupt people.”
(28:77)
(28:77)
Allah has given some of you preference over others in provision. So, those given preference are not willing to pass on their provision to their slaves, while that they are equal with them in respect thereof: Do they, then, reject the blessing of Allah???
(16:71)
(16:71)
And whatever you have been given from anything is an enjoyment of the life of the world and its adornment, and that which is with Allah is better and will remain forever. Have you then no sense???
(28:60)
(28:60)
And how many a town have We destroyed that were over-proud of their means of living. Now, those are their habitations, which were never inhabited after them except a few, and We alone were the inheritors.
