ABSOLUTE TAQLEED IS ONLY FOR ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER ﷺ

Blindly following anyone in matters that have clear guidance from the Book and the Sunnah is a form of Shirk in the worship to Allah and a negation of:
"WA ASHADU ANNA MUHAMMADAN RASOOL ALLAH"
Any Muslim who follows anyone in the religion of Allah (subhaanahu wa ta'ala) in the sense that he does not differ from him in any matter, small or great, obeying him in all that he enjoins or forbids has gone beyond the bounds of religion and has taken rivals and gods besides Allah.

Allah has enjoined upon mankind to obey Him and obey His Messenger.
We only take (the fatwas/rulings of the scholars) which is based on evidence from the Qur’an and Sunnah. Matters concerning which the scholars differed on the ruling, we follow that which is the closest and most authentic (strongest evidence) agreed with the consensus of scholars:
“O you who believe! Obey Allah and obey the Messenger (Muhammad (ﷺ)), and those of you (Muslims) who are in authority. (And) if you differ in anything amongst yourselves, refer it to Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), if you believe in Allah and in the Last Day. That is better and more suitable for final determination” [Surat an-Nisa’ 4:59]
There is nothing in this ayah to indicate that one should follow the madhaab of any scholar or Imam.
Thus, it is only obligatory to obey them within the framework of obedience to Allah and His Messenger ﷺ, and not independently of that.
When you say: 'Ashadu Anna Muhammadan Rasool Allah" you must fulfill the following four pillars:
1 - You must believe every single thing that he ﷺ said even if you don't understand it. If it was established by a chain of narrations, the experts of the ahadith tell you that this is "saheeh", even if you do not understand the wisdom behind it you must believe it's right. Don't doubt it.
2 - That you act upon what he ﷺ commanded you to do.
It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error. [Qur'an 33:36]
3 - That you avoid all the things that he ﷺ prohibited for you.
4 - That you do not worship Allah (subhaanahu wa ta'al) except in a way that which the Messenger ﷺ has conveyed. He ﷺ said: Anyone who does an action which is not in accordance with this matter of ours (Islam) will have it rejected.
مَّنْ يُطِعِ الرَّسُولَ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللّهَ وَمَن تَوَلَّى فَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَفِيظًا
Once again, the Ummah's salvation lies in following and obeying the Prophet ﷺ
من يطع الرسول فقد اطاع الله ومن تولى فما ارسلناك عليهم حفيظا
And whoever obeys the Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ), has indeed obeyed Allah, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad ﷺ) as a watcher over them. [Qur'an 4:80]

Ahmad ibn Hanbal said:
''From the lack of understanding of a man is to follow his religion from men.''
[Ibn al-Qayyim, 'Ilam al-Muwaqi'in, vol 2, p. 201]
