Allaah's Messenger [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] said, "Deeds are presented on Monday and Thursday, and I love that my deeds be presented while am fasting." [Jami At-Tirmidhi 747]
This Hadith proves that the Prophet [peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him] would fast particularly on Monday and Thursday because the deeds of the people are presented to Allah on these two days and he liked to be fasting the day on which the deeds are presented to Allah.
