We are in a continuous war with Shaytan, and he does not want us to succeed in this studying.
Allah ta'ala says,
فَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ فَاسْتَعِذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ
"So when you want to recite the Qur'ān, seek refuge with Allāh from Shaitān (Satan), the outcast (the cursed one)." (Surat An-Nahl 16:98 | Muhsin Khan)
Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-‘Uthaymīn رحمه الله said: "Indeed knowledge is from the best acts of worship and is one of the greatest and most beneficial of it. Hence, you will find Shayṭān keeping people away from (seeking) knowledge."
● [فتاوى نور على الدرب ١٢/٢]
Translated by Musa shaleem Muhammad
The Shaytan shall sit in the face of every good thing that you try to do.
