Allah only accepts what is pure

Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala) accepts only that which is good(pure) and this hadith has got answer why supplications are not being answered by Allah (azza wa jal)sometimes when earnings and lifestyle becomes or mixed with haram !
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (radhi Allahu anhu) who said:
The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “Allah the Almighty is Good and accepts only that which is good. And verily Allah has commanded the believers to do that which He has commanded the Messengers. So the Almighty has said: “O (you) Messengers! Eat of the tayyibat [all kinds of halal (legal) foods], and perform righteous deeds.” [23:51] and the Almighty has said: “O you who believe! Eat of the lawful things that We have provided you.” [2:172]” Then he (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) mentioned [the case] of a man who, having journeyed far, is dishevelled and dusty, and who spreads out his hands to the sky saying “O Lord! O Lord!,” while his food is haram (unlawful), his drink is haram, his clothing is haram, and he has been nourished with haram, so how can [his supplication] be answered?
Muslim,Book 5, Hadith 2214.
Hadith Nawawi 10, Riyad as-Salihin Book 19, Hadith 1851.
This hadith introduces the importance of al-tayyib, that which is good or pure. The concept of purity and goodness applies to numerous aspects in our lives. As Muslims, we must be careful to enjoy only food and clothing that are halal, use pure speech, and hold pure intentions. This is one of those ahaadith upon which the Principles and Rulings of Islam are built. And in it is encouragement towards spending upon that which is Halaal(lawful), and forbiddance from spending upon that which is other than that. And that what is eaten, and what is drunk and what is worn, and all such similar things should be purely Halaal, without any doubt in them. And that whosoever wishes to supplicate to Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala) should be humble and submit himself before his Lord with that which is Halaal. And from the hadith we also understand that when the slave spends upon the good, Halaal things then these things purify him and bring him prosperity. And that delicious and tasty food which is not permissible to eat will instead be a source of evil and punishment, and the actions of the slave will then not be acceptable by Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala).
And his (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) statement "Then he mentioned [the case] of a man who, having journeyed far, is dishevelled and dusty .. And even in this case his supplication is still not accepted because his food, drink and clothing are Haraam(unlawful),while at the same time he is opposing Allah's(subhanahu wa ta'ala) commands and is sinning. And his (sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam) statement: "so how can [his supplication] be answered ?!" means that there cannot be an answer for the one who possesses such characteristics. It is an absolute warning to those who generally complain of their supplications not being answered by Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala) and this hadith shows the one of the possible reason why he is not being answered while his actions are contradictory or cause of displeasure to Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala).Such a person cannot be amongst those whose supplication will be answered, unless Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala) does so out of His infinite Grace and Kindness and Generosity, and Allah knows best. That's how in Islam, every matter related to this world or akhira(hereafter) has been brought into light and became a guiding way to lead believers on the straight path.May Allah(subhanahu wa ta'ala) grant us forgiveness and give us all good both in this world and hereafter.
