SMOKING, in the light of QUR'AN and HADITH --

SMOKING, in the light of QUR'AN and HADITH --
All intoxicants are 'HARAM'. Tobacco is an intoxicating substance.
"Don’t make your own hands the cause of your own destruction"
(Surah Al-Baqarah; 195)
“O you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful.”
(Surah Al-Ma’idah; 90)
“And do not kill yourselves” (Surah An-Nisa; 29)
“And makes lawful to them the good things and makes unlawful to them impure things” (Surah Al’-A’raf; 157)
“And do not spend wastefully, Indeed, the wasteful are brothers of the devils, and ever has Satan been to his Lord ungrateful.”
(Surah Al-‘Isra’; 26-27)
Smoking causes physical, intellectual and moral effects on human system and leads to lung cancer (self-destruction). Nicotine, the component in cigarette is a form of slow poison. It is also a wasteful expenditure.
Spend in the cause of Allah Swt. Invest in good deeds that benefit in the Hereafter.
