WHAT SHOULD BE YOUR INTENTION FOR SEEKING KNOWLEDGE IN FB ?? 

■ Messenger of Allah(saw) said: -

‘Whoever acquires knowledge by which the PLEASURE of ALLAH is sought, but he only acquires it for the purpose of worldly gain, will not smell the fragrance of Paradise on the Day of Resurrection”

[Sunan Ibn e Majah, Book of Sunnah, Hadith no 252, Classified as Sahih By Allama Albani]

■ Messenger of Allah(saw) said:-

“Whoever seeks knowledge in order to ARGUE with the Foolish, or to SHOW OFF before the scholars, or to ATTRACT people’s ATTENTION , will be in HELL”

[Sunan Ibn e Majah, Book of Sunnah, Hadith no 253, Classified as Hasan By Allama Albani]

■ Sabl bin Mu’ddh bin Anas narrated from his father that the Prophet(saw) i said: “Whoever teaches some knowledge will have the REWARD of the one who acts upon it(PRACTICES), without that detracting from his reward in the slightest.”

[Sunan Ibn e Majah, Book of Sunnah, Hadith no 240, Classified as Hasan By Allama Albani]

NOW YOU MAY DECIDE IT FOR YOURSELF - SHOULD IT BE

To SEEK THE PLEASURE OF ALLAH OR

TO SHOW OFF OR 

TO ATTRACT PEOPLE WHO YOU LIKE IN FB OR 

TO GAIN THE REWARD OF ALLAH BY MAKING OTHERS PRACTICE IT ???

■ DON'T SHOW OFF ??

▶ The Prophet (sallallähu alaihi wasallam) said,

"Allah will bring forth the severest Hour, and then all the Believers, men and women, will prostrate themselves before Him, but there will remain those who used to prostrate in the world for showing off and for gaining good reputation.Such people will try to prostrate (on the Day of Judgment) but their back swill be as stiff as if it isone bone (a single vertebra)."

[Bukhari Book:60 No:441]

▶ Once a man came to Imam Malik Rahimullah from a very far distance and he asked him 40 questions. Imam Malik Rahimullah only answered four of them and for the rest of the 36 questions he replied, “I don’t know.”

● "Whoever treads on a path in search of Islaamic knowledge, Allaah will ease the way to Paradise for him. The angels will lower their wings, pleased with this seeker of knowledge, and everyone in the heavens and on earth will ask forgiveness for the knowledgeable person, even the fish in the deepest of waters will ask for his forgiveness”

▶ The knowledge of a hypocrite is in his speech,while the knowledge of a believer is in his actions.” 

- ‘Abdullaah bin Al-Mu’taz

★ it is only those who have knowledge among His servants that fear Allah) (35:28)

 Some Hadith's on Knowledge 

▶ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim." 

[ Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 74 ]

▶ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “One who treads a path in search of knowledge has his path to Paradise made easy by God…” -

[Riyadh us-Saleheen, 245 ]

■ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "A servant of God will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body and how he used it." 

[Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 148 ]

■ The Prophet also said: "Knowledge from which no benefit is derived is like a treasure out of which nothing is spent in the cause of God." 

[Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 108 ]

■ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "God, His angels and all those in Heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge." 

[ Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 422 ]

■ The Prophet also said: "Acquire knowledge and impart it to the people." 

[Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 107 ]

■ The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, God will cause him to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who seeks knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and (even) the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave (no monetary inheritance), they leave only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion. 

[Sunan of Abu-Dawood, Hadith 1631 ]

▶ Imam Ahmad (Rahimahullah) said:

People need Ilm more than they need food and drink, because they need food and drink once or
twice a day, but they need Ilm with every breath they take. 

[Miftaah Daar al-Sa'aadah (1/65-66)]

● It is reported that Suffyaan Al Tthawree – Allaah have mercy on him – said, “Wealth is the Disease of this Ummah, and the Scholar is the doctor of this Ummah. So if the doctor brings the disease to himself, how will he cure the people?”

[Al Ddahaabii, Siyaar A’laam Al Nnubaalaa, Vol. 7 Pg. No. 243.]

■ “Knowledge does not consist in narrating much. Knowledge is but a light which Allah places in the heart.” 

Imam Malik ibn Anas

■ Imaam ahmed , drink two or three times a day, but they need knowledge all the time.” 

■ thus the loss of scholars is a great calamity because the death of the entire tribe is less serious than the death of one scholar

SEEK KNOWLEDGE & ATTAIN HIGH RANKS 

■ Allah will raise those who have Believed among you and those who were given Knowledge, by DEGREES. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do. [Quran 58:11]

■ Rasool (s.a.w) said: "The action of man stops when he dies except three things: continuous charity, knowledge (that he shares/teaches) or a pious child who prays for him." [Muslim: 4223]

“The entire world is a darkness except for the sittings with the scholars.”

was questioned "Does money upset the hearts of learned men? He answered, "men whose hearts are changed by money are not learned".
