Virtues of fasting on Ayyamul Beedh (White Days)

Bismillah Walhamdulillah Wassalatu Wassalamu ala Rasoolillah!

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam,Ayyamul Beedh The white days are the three days in the middle of each Islamic month (Hijri), i.e. 13, 14, and 15. They are called white days because of the moon being full and it lights the sky at night. The significance of the three white days revolves around continuous fasting. We know in Islam when we do a good deed it’s multiplied by ten folds. So when we fast three days in a month as if we fasted for thirty days, meaning the whole month.

White days (Ayyamul beedh) will fall on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday in shaa Allah! February 2,3,4, 2015 - Rabi al-thanee 13,14,15 in Hejre Calendar.

•Jareer ibn ‘Abdullaah radhiyallaahu ‘anhu narrated that the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam said:“Fasting three days of each month is fasting for a lifetime, and ayyam al-beed are the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (Narrated by al-Nasaa’i (2420); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, (1040))

•Abu Dharr radhiyallaahu ‘anhu said: The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wasallam said to me: “If you fast any part of the month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth and fifteenth.” (Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, (761); al-Nasaa’i, (2424); classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Targheeb, (1038)).

•Abu Hurayrah radhiyallaahu ‘anhu said: “My close friend [i.e., the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will never give up until I die: fasting three days each month, praying Duha, and sleeping after praying Witr.” (al-Bukhaari, 1178; Muslim, 721).

•The Messenger of Allaah sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:‘Shall I not tell you of something that will take away the evil of the heart? Fasting three days of each month.’ (an-Nisaa’i 2/2386)

•Ibn 'Abbas said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, did not fail to fast the white days either when at home or on a journey." [an-Nasa'i]

May Allah make it easy for us to strive hard to to do good deeds for His sake only aameen.
