Quran 7:173

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-A’raf 7, Verse 173, Part 9

أَوْ تَقُولُوا إِنَّمَا أَشْرَكَ آبَاؤُنَا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةً مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ ۖ أَفَتُهْلِكُنَا بِمَا فَعَلَ الْمُبْطِلُونَ

Or lest you should say: “It was only our fathers aforetime who took others as partners in worship along with Allah, and we were (merely their) descendants after them; will You then destroy us because of the deeds of men who practised Al-Batil (i.e. polytheism and committing crimes and sins, invoking and worshipping others besides Allah)?”

یا یہ کہہ دو کہ شرک تو ہم سے پہلے ہمارے آباء و اجداد نے کیا تھا اور ہم تو ان کے بعد کی اولاد تھے تو کیا ہمیں تو اس قصور میں ہلاک کرتا ہے جو غلط کاروں نے کیا تھا۔
