[Al-Quran 17: 16]

Quran’s Lesson - Surah Al-Isra 17, Verse 16, Part 15

وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نُهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرًا

And when We decide to destroy a town (population), We (first) send a definite order (to obey Allah and be righteous) to those among them [or We (first) increase in number those of its population] who are given the good things of this life. Then, they transgress therein, and thus the word (of torment) is justified against it (them). Then We destroy it with complete destruction.

اور جب ہم کسی بستی کو ہلاک کرنے کا ارادہ کرلیتے ہیں تو وہاں کے عیش پرستوں کو حکم دیتے ہیں تو وہ بدکرداریاں کرنے لگتے ہیں پھر اس بستی پر عذاب کی بات صادق آجاتی ہے تو ہم اس کی اینٹ سے اینٹ بجا دیتے ہیں۔
