::IMPORTANCE OF GUARDING ONES FAST : RAMADAN::
==============================================
[In the Name of Allah, Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful]
The concept of fasting in Islam is not just confined to merely quitting food and water during daytime. It requires a lot more for one to complete a fast acceptable in the sight of Allah.
An-Nawawi records in his book Riyad us-Saliheen:
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu allihi wasallam, said:
"When one of you awakes in the morning for fasting, then he should not use obscene language or behave ignorantly. If anyone slanders him or tries to argue with him, he should say twice: Indeed, I am fasting."

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu allihi wasallam, said:
"Whoever does not give up false speech and evil deeds while fasting, then Allah is not in need of his leaving food and drink."

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu allihi wasallam, said:
"Whoever forgets while he is fasting and he eats or drinks, then let him complete his fast, for verily, Allah has fed him and gave him drink."

Laqit ibn Sabirah reported: The Messenger of Allah, sallallahu allihi wasallam, said:
"Perform ablution well. Clean the base of your fingers and sniff water deep into your nose unless you are fasting."
[Source: Sunan At-Tirmidhi 788, Grade: Sahih]
Reported by Aisha razi'Allahu anha and Umm Salamah razi'Allahu anha:
"The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would wake up at dawn while in a state of impurity, then he would perform a ritual bath and observe fasting."
[Source: Sahih Bukhari 1825, Grade: Sahih]
The fasting in Islam implies not only upon quitting eating and drinking, it has a deep meaning. The real fasting requires one to quit all his bad habits and also stop following ones desires, and hence completely submit to the will of the one and only, ALLAH.
Allah hu Akbar.
SUCCESS COMES FROM ALLAH AND ALLAH KNOWS THE BEST
